Winzeler Web Design I had taken my car to another mechanic when it was running incredibly rough. The other mechanic told me the #4 cylinder had no compression and that I had either a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Because I wasn’t able to afford the $1000 or so it would cost, I decided to tear it apart myself. After not finding a blown head gasket or cracked head, I put it back together and took it to Lansing Professional Fleet Auto Repair. Within 2 minutes, with the car still on the trailer, Aaron diagnosed the problem as a bad distributor coil on the #2 & 3 cylinders. After another 20 minutes and $73 my car was up and running perfectly fine. Aaron even showed me where a couple stray bolts I had forgotten after putting things together.

Honest An honest mechanic? They really do exist! The first time I took my car in, Sam, the owner (Lansing Professional Fleet Auto Repair) admitted that he wasn’t exactly sure what was wrong with my car. He tried tweaking the timing, to see if that would fix the problem I was having and did not charge me a penny for it. I did have to return my car again and they did eventually find the problem, but he didn’t charge me until the problem was actually fixed. They will also drive you home or to work should you need a lift. They are honest and hardworking and won’t hesitate to tell you that you can get your oil changed somewhere else for less.

Highly Recommended I HIGHLY recommend Sam Postema who owns Lansing Professional Fleet Auto Repair. He’s at the edge of downtown, on the corner of Kalamazoo and Larch Streets, kitty corner from Wendy’s. We’ve been using him for several years. Very Trustworthy I have to agree with scrappinmomma! I have been going to Sam at Professional Fleet for about 3 years – our 2 vehicles plus those of friends and family. He is very trustworthy and has saved us a lot of money in giving us recommendations as to what needs to be done and what could wait. I have even called him as I was broke down and he helped with a tow and has also referred me to a Tire Shop, where they gave me HIS disount! He can get you in almost immediately and will have your vehicle back in no time. His prices are very reasonable. Plus, he owns the company and lives here in town – nice to support the local economy! An awesome mechanic 08/19/2009
Sam is an awesome mechanic who is reasonably priced. He is a fast talker and a multi tasker but don’t let that worry you – he’s efficient, gets the job done on time and charges a fair price. He explains things to you in as much or as little detail as you want. He can do anything the dealer can do on any make car – has access to all the relevant checks whether foreign or domestic, any age, any model. My kids live out of town and I tell them to either bring their cars to Sam or call him if they have to service them when they are out of town and he always comes through. He’ll work with you too – if you can’t fix everything immediately, he’ll tell you what absolutely can’t wait for safety reasons and what can wait. You can’t do better than Sam and I would recommend him as the best anywhere – hands down.

My mom met the owner Sam at BNI a few years ago and he’s been doing our cars since. I brought him my bills from when I lived in Maryland last year and he quoted me about 60% of what I paid. Great, really friendly guy and works his ass off (does not lie to you and jerk you around like most mechanics I’ve used). If I can wait to fix stuff, I’ll try to wait until I’m in MI so I can take it to him, can’t always do that though since I live 10 hours away.
